October 19, 2021 News Update
Posted on Oct 19th, 2021

Good Morning Solitude Owners,

We have just updated your community website with the draft minutes from the September 15th Board of Directors meeting along with the agenda for the ZOOM board meeting tomorrow at 3:00pm.    See attached.

There will be more details during the meeting, although here is a quick note regarding the Solitude Rec Center.

On October 1, an e-mail notification went out advising that the Recreation Center at the Day Lodge is closed until further notice.  We have learned that the Okemo maintenance team discovered an issue with one of the support beams in the pool area, and a structural engineer has been brought in by Okemo/Vail to evaluate the situation.  The Day Lodge COA is responsible for the building.   The latest update we received from them is that they are working with the engineers, insurance company, and contractors to get an approved solution and schedule.  Lacking more details at this time, we are projecting that the entire Recreation Center will remain closed for at least the next 4-6 weeks.
During this time, Solitude owners and their guests may use the Spring House.  Currently the Spring House hours are:
·         Thursday-Monday 7:30am-7:30pm
·         Tue & Wed   7:30am-6:00pm
·          While the gym is open for all hours the pool is open 10am-close. It is reserved for member lap swims for the first two hours.
The tel # for the Spring House is (802) 228-1419 and best to call to confirm hours as they may be adjusting during this upcoming low occupancy ( post peak foliage- Thanksgiving)  period.  Towels are provided there.  Depending on the day of week and occupancy levels, the parking may be in one of the lower lots, although you can generally drop off family members close to the entrance.

Please advise with any questions.  If you are unable to attend tomorrow's Zoom Board mtg, and have a comment, question or concern you would like me to bring to the board's attention......please let me know.

Cheers and on a positive note.............even though VT is past what most folks call " peak foliage", there are still some brilliant colors, especially as they contrast with the evergreens!
