Morning all Solitude Village owners,
A few reminders regarding our trash & recycling program.
During the summer months we are on a "Call in Basis", which I will monitor. After the order is placed, Fridays and Mondays are the trash days and Mondays are the recycling days.
Regarding the light weight covers to the recycling dumpsters, Casellas has installed a simple to use bar to prevent the winds from blowing the tops off. See that attached photo. These bars are simple to pull down to let the covers open up.......although it will be very important to "push them back up" to ensure the covers are secure.
It is very important that all cardboard boxes are broken down flat to maximize space and save you all $$$ ( see other photo for a situation that is easily avoidable when you take a few extra minutes)
The regular dumpsters are for residential garbage only. Old electronics, furniture, furnishings, deck furniture, construction debri, etc. are all prohibited.
As Ludlow taxpayers, you all have the right to purchase a sticker for the Ludlow Transfer station. More details are available via (802) 228-2846. Days of operations are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am -5pm. Among other things, they have a good sized building housing household items that are often recirculated to other families. They have several volunteers that "tinker" with things to bring them back to life
Alternatively, Summit Solutions is available to pick up and deliver items to the Ludlow Transfer Station for their labor rate
Per some comments made via the last owner survey ( thank you again Byron), the board and I are looking into possible screening options. I walked the property yesterday with our Casella rep and at the very least, we both agreed most of the dumpsters could be pushed back 2-3 feet to create a wider travel lane for all owners and guests. A work in progress for sure.
